Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after   orphans and widows   in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.  James 1:27

Before we even married, Ryan and I knew that some day we would adopt a child.  It was never a matter of “if” but a matter of “when” and “from where”.  Once Evie Kait was born, we felt that the time was coming to begin our adoption journey.  We researched agencies and various countries’ programs.  We chose a country and an agency, however, after a few months into the process, we felt God leading us elsewhere.  We felt God strongly leading us to the country of Korea and were very comforted by Holt International’s experience in that country.  So in April of 2011, we began our Korean adoption journey.

Bringing Reid home has been quite a journey.  We are so blessed to have welcomed Reid in to our family on November 12, 2012.  He has transitioned to our family so much better than we ever could have hoped for, and we give all of the glory to the Lord.  We have had countless people praying for us as we traveled to Korea, held him for the first time, and brought him home to his forever family.  God has heard and answered those prayers.  This journey has not been easy, and it is still not easy.  However, it is all so very worth it.

We love our little man to pieces.  His smile is contagious, and he has that ornery glimmer in his eyes.  He is learning English like a pro, and loves each of us more and more each day.  We are so thankful that God chose to place Reid in our family.  We are tremendously blessed!
