I’ve looked at these 3 the last couple of weeks, and have wondered where the time went.  How in the world did they grow up so fast?  I am beyond proud of my big kids, and cannot wait to see what this school year holds.

School1420140811_0017This boy, almost nine years old, surprised my socks off yesterday when he told me that he was actually kind of excited to start school.  Seriously, folks, this is huge!!!  He is not a huge fan of school, but he has an amazing teacher this year, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for him.

School1420140811_0034Oh, this girl!  She seems to have changed the most recently.  Wise beyond her years, braver than brave, and always up for a new adventure.  She will be in a combined 1st and 2nd grade class, and will be one of the big 2nd graders.  I know she will be even more of a leader this year, and I hope she continues to shine for Him.

And, then there’s this one…  Little miss sassy, too big for her britches, can’t wait to be a teenager… Evie Kait.  Oh, how she lights up my day.  She is my sunshine… bringer of light.  I cannot believe she is headed off to school tomorrow morning.  She will go 3 full days a week to Pre-Kindergarten and I don’t know what I’m going to do without her.

I blinked and these three were out the door.

(I have one more year with my little man at home, and then I’ll be going through a serious identity crisis.)
