A daughter is the happy memories of the past, the joyful moments of the present, and the hope and promise of the future.
Sometimes I still look at the two beautiful girls that God blessed me with, and wonder what I did to deserve them. I am privileged to be the one to watch them grow into sweet little girls.
Maggie Jane is my wise beyond her years, 7 year old. Her enthusiasm for life is contagious, and her compassion for others runs deep in her soul. Maggie, may these always be traits that define you, and may you grow to love your Savior more each day. The pride and awe I have for you is more than you will ever know. Keep shining, sweet girl.
Oh, my sweet Evangeline Kait, you are almost indescribable. You are 4 going on 14, and hold enough personality in your little self for every other human on earth. I am quite certain that God snickered the entire time He was creating you, and I can’t wait to see what He has in store for you. You add excitement to our every moment, and I pray that you learn to sparkle and shine for Him.
“Sisters are the perfect best friend.”
These two laugh together, play together, cry together, fight together, and live together. They are growing to be the best of friends, and that makes my Mama heart more happy than I could ever explain. Evie Kait recently asked me a lot of questions about all that Maggie has been through. It was the first time she’s really asked anything about it at all, and it was a very hard conversation. At the end, she said “Mama, I’m glad Maggie didn’t die because then I wouldn’t have had my best friend. ” Sweet girls, may you always be each other’s best friend.
My dear girls, “May you touch dragonflies and stars, dance with fairies, and talk to the moon.” Continue to enjoy life and don’t let the world make you grow up any too soon. I love you to the moon and back!
