Today is a day that we, as Christians, celebrate Christ’s death and resurrection. When we ask God to save us from our sins and for Christ to be our Savior. We are saying that we believe that His blood was enough to wash our sins away, and that we now want to live for Him.
Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory. Colossians 3:1-4
This verse has meant amazing things to me in the last month. Because, as a Christian, I have been raised with Christ, this verse means that I am to "put to death" my desire for all things ungodly – for all things of this earth. I am to continually seek heavenly things and to not dwell on the things here. My life is hidden with Christ. I love this part. My life is SAFE with Him. This is so comforting to me. Someday, I will no longer have the conflict between earthly and heavenly things. I will be with Him in glory. Oh, how I can’t wait!
